What are the things that all Commerce graduates must know?

 September 17, 2018     No comments

Here are 10 points every commerce graduate must remember:
  1. MBA is not necessary to advance your career.
  2. Do not opt for CA if you are not confident about accounting yet.
  3. Banking jobs are highly respectable. Do not underestimate them.
  4. For any higher studies, make sure you have job experience first.
  5. Improve on Excel, Word and Tally. That is the least you can learn.
  6. Do not do MCA just because you want to become software engineer. You can learn coding outside.
  7. Take up any job you get. A small accounting firm or Big 4. Experience counts everywhere.
  8. Do not waste your year in planning. Practicing for competitive exams is the best way to spend your time.
  9. If you wish to get into teaching field, M Com is a better option than other Masters. Also, work on your PhD topic in parallel.
  10. You are not late for anything. There is huge respect for B Com graduates in every field. You can become IAS officers, get into IIMs, become CEOs. Do not feel inferior to Engineers.

The basics to know are the tools of business. Accounting. Marketing. Finance. Strategic planning. Statistics. Management theory and practices. I'd expect Commerce graduates to be familiar with these disciplines

What are some things that even billionaires agree are expensive?

 September 15, 2018     No comments

SUPER YACHTS. Big, big boats.
Just take a look at this beauty. Gorgeous. Your own floating island. According Forbes sources, the average 100 meter super yacht, with a top speed of 25 knots and 50 crew members costs approximately $275 million.
Super yachts are owned by the world’s richest billionaires, because not only does one need a huge net worth, the cost alone to maintain these boats are astronomical. These are the toys only the 0.01% of the 1% can own.
I will list the top 5 most expensive super yachts in the world. All owned by billionaires.
  • Number one: Azzam 180 meters. $400 million US. Owned by Emir of Dubai, net worth $15 billion.
  • Number 2: Eclipse. 162 meters. Owned by Roman Abramovich. It’s nickname is the “$1.5 billion yacht” but estimates show it at $500 million US. 2 swimming pools, 2 helicopter pads, and a crew of 70 is required to maintain it. Russian Billionaire Abramovich is one of the richest men in the world.
  • Number 3: Dubai. 162 meters. Sheik Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum of Dubai. ($400 million). Built for Prince Jefri of Brunei. It requires 115 crew members to maintain.
  • Number 4. Dilbar. 156 meters. Built for Russian billionaire Alisher Usmanov. With a $13 billion net worth he can afford this super yacht for the price of $600 million.
  • Number 5: Al Said. 155 meters. Owner: Sultan Qaboos bin Said Al Said. ($300 million). Can hold up to 65 guests and 140 crew. He has a net worth of $1 billion.

Is it true BDS doctors in India are jobless?

 September 14, 2018     No comments

This is certainly not true that BDS graduates have less job opportunities (except self owned dental setup)
There is no dearth of patients after BDS if you have done your graduation with appreciable determination and accrued the most from the available opportunities (faculty and patients).it does not matter what kind of college it is.
Problem lies in the type of jobs available after BDS
  • Tutor- salary Min-7 thousand,Max-10 thousand. Who in this world will work for 8000 INR after 5 year long graduation period, almost exhausted his/her energy. This job is not reputed enough and one feels dissatisfied with life due to very less amount of work.
  • Salesmen-There are ample amount of jobs in this sector, they are now a days hiring BDS graduates for selling new equipments, restorative materials and dental chairs because a dentist can explain in much better way about the pros and cons of these things. Salary 15–25k. Particularly in big citiestheir salaries are good enough.
  • Assistant dentist-Old dentists with busy schedules give jobs to BDS graduates to attend their patients that need oral prophylaxis, restoration and sometimes root canal treatment. Salary 10–20k. An interesting advantage is that you can buy his setup later when he retires.
  • Govt Job- govt job are very less in this field. Just 2–3 jobs in a district but the salary is very satisfying. 35K
  • Public health research-salary 20–40k . I don't know much about it. But it requires a diploma .
Jobs are surplus but salary is not enough.
And finally
You can become baba, sant maulvi whatever if not satisfied with any of them.

Social Work: Who are the top 10 social workers in India who are alive and still working?

 September 14, 2018     1 comment

A true social worker doesnt like to be categorised as a Top Social worker. Look around your area, and you would find many such people who are contributing their mite for society. A social worker must be assessed by his commitment to the society, not by the scale of his/her work.

Here are a few:
Medha Patkar
Rajendra Singh
Ela Bhatt
Mirai Chatterjee
H Thegtse Rinpoche
Sister Nirmala

What are other question-asking websites like Quora?

 September 07, 2018     No comments

Quora is somewhat unique in the sense it combines several elements from different concepts like forums, wikis and blogs. Features like suggesting edits to others' answers are not present on many other websites.

StackExchange has already been mentioned. But it is heavily focused on tech-related topics, and doesn't really compete with Quora. There are sites dedicated to non-technical topics, but they are not as popular as, say, StackOverflow.

The best alternative to Quora, in my opinion, is reddit. There are several Q&A-style subreddits:

  • Woofresh
  • Ask Reddit...
  • Does anybody else...?
  • Explain me Like I'm Five
  • Ask Science
  • Ask Historians
  • Ask Culinary
  • Answers
  • Tip of my tongue

what Courses should i do After 12th?

 September 05, 2018     No comments

Which course should be selected after 12th?
He is now studying in 12th standard. Final exams of 12th standard is nearly going to over. He concentrates on his study during the examination period and do not diverse his mind in thinking about his career after 12th.
But once!
He has qualified the 12th examination. Now it is the time to think over the career options & courses after 12th and many more related questions that are puzzling in his mind about what should he choose after 12th
This is one of the most confusing periods in the students’ life. First you should counsel yourself. Suppose that;
You have chosen PCM group or PCB group or Commerce or Arts in 12th standard. It means you have chosen your area of interest. Do not surprise or tense. You have done your best.
But yes, off course, if you wish to change your field for higher studies, you can go through many options according to your interest.
A student having Art stream in 12th standard can pursue his further study in art, humanities, management, media, fashion, journalism and tourism field.
A student having PCB or biology in 12th standard can pursue his further study in medical, pharmacy, science research and all art group fields.
A student having PCM or Math in 12th standard can pursue his further study in engineering & technology, pharmacy, architecture, and all art group fields.
And moreover, students from any of above streams can pursue their further studies in law, management, fashion, textile, social work and library science.
